Türkiye Sigorta (formerly known as Güneş Sigorta), Turkey's largest and leading insurance company, started its operations on 31 August 2020 with the merger of Ziraat Sigorta and Halk Sigorta under the umbrella of Güneş Sigorta with the aim of increasing the savings base of the Turkish economy and developing the non-banking financial sector within the framework of the New Economy Programme of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
Drawing its experience from its deep-rooted history and its strength from its name, Türkiye Sigorta operates with the aim of taking the Turkish insurance sector to the top in global competition and spreading insurance services to the grassroots with its expert staff and strong technological infrastructure.
Headquartered in Istanbul, Türkiye Sigorta has a wide and strong service network serving 6 million customers through 12 agency regional offices, 11 bancassurance regional offices, 3,764 agencies, 4,971 bank branches, 161 brokers and 323 direct sales teams, totalling 1,542 employees.
With its agile, innovative and responsive approach, Türkiye Sigorta aims to provide services with the understanding of producing solutions that exceed expectations at every moment of life and using its power for good by taking the insurance experience from ‘after’ to ‘before’ and promises a secure future to its policyholders.
Having the richest product portfolio structure in the sector with the merger of the product range of three insurance companies into a single structure, Türkiye Sigorta meets the expectations of its policyholders at the highest level with the most competitive insurance products.
The Company's Non-Life insurance business includes Fire and Natural Disasters, Marine, Watercraft, Watercraft Liability, Motor Vehicles, Motor Vehicles Liability, Accident, Aircraft, Aircraft Liability, General Losses, General Liability, Legal Protection, Credit, Sickness/Health and Financial Losses. As of the end of 2025, Türkiye Sigorta led the insurance sector with premium production of TRY 147 billion 117 million and a 14% market share. The Company’s total assets reached TRY 156 billion 975 million, while its net profit for the period exceeded TRY 19 billion 425 million.
The main shareholder of Türkiye Sigorta is TWF Finansal Yatırımlar AŞ, which owns 81.1% of the Company's share capital. The remaining 18.9% of the Company's shares are traded on Borsa Istanbul.
The Company is a member of the Insurance Association of Türkiye, the Turkish Investor Relations Society (TÜYİD), and the Business Council for Sustainable Development Türkiye (SKD Türkiye), and holds the following certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 18295-1/2:2017 Customer Contact Centres Management System, ISO 22301:2019 Business Continuity Management System, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management System, ISO 10002:2018 Customer Satisfaction Management System, and ISO/IEC 42001 Artificial Intelligence Management System.
In order to empower women in business life and support gender equality, we became a signatory of the United Nations Women's Empowerment (UNWEP) on 03 September 2024.
The Company became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) on 30 September 2024 to support human rights, environment and anti-corruption.
‘Türkiye Sigorta A.Ş.’ has been credit rated by the credit rating agency JCR AVRASYA DERECELENDİRME A.Ş. Credit ratings were determined as follows:
