Waste Management
As Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik and Türkiye Sigorta, we have taken an important step in the field of sustainability by being aware of our responsibility towards nature and we have been awarded the Zero Waste Certificate. This achievement has been a milestone where we have reinforced not only our sensitivity towards the environment, but also our responsibility for society and future generations.
With the effective decisions we take every day, we aim to prevent waste generation at source, manage recycling processes efficiently and reuse used materials for longer-term use.
Adhering to zero waste principles is not only limited to our business processes; it also becomes a lifestyle that takes into account the entire ecosystem. The steps we have taken in this direction are as follows:
Less consumption, more efficiency: We choose every material used in our production processes more carefully and use our resources without wasting them.
Recyclable products: We ensure that consumed materials can be recycled without harming the nature. We classify our wastes and make them reprocessable.
An environmentally friendly approach with innovative solutions: With energy-efficient technologies and sustainable solutions, we continuously improve environmentally friendly production processes.
Creating social awareness: We share zero waste awareness with both our employees and business partners and encourage everyone to get involved in this process.
This success is not only a document gain; it is a concrete indicator of our commitment to nature, the environment and humanity. This step we have taken towards leaving a clean world to future generations motivates us even more every day. We are determined to build a sustainable future together with both our internal and external shareholders to achieve our zero waste target.
As of the end of 2023, Türkiye Sigorta recycled 79 tonnes of paper and 2.4 tonnes of electronic waste as a result of our operations. In the same period, Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik recycled 56 tonnes of paper and 2.3 tonnes of electronic waste.
