1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

As Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik A.Ş., we view the efficient and sustainable use of natural resources as a fundamental element of our business strategy. Our Water Efficiency Policy aims to optimize our water consumption, minimize our environmental impact, contribute to sustainable development goals, and develop practices that set an example for all our stakeholders.

This policy outlines Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik A.Ş.'s commitments and practices supporting the sustainable use of water in the following areas:

Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik A.Ş. is committed to shaping water management in line with the Türkiye Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS), the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).

2. IMPLEMENTATION

Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik adopts the following principles to increase water efficiency and contribute to the protection of water resources:

a) Optimization of Water Usage in Corporate Activities

We monitor water consumption and set targets to reduce it.

We implement water efficiency solutions in company buildings and facilities.

b) Responsible Water Usage in the Supply Chain

We expect our suppliers to adopt sustainable practices regarding water management.

We encourage our business partners to comply with national and international standards on water management.

We support business partners in water-intensive sectors to reduce their water footprint.

c) Sustainable Water Management in Insurance Processes

We encourage water efficiency practices in projects covered by insurance.

We provide insurance support to projects aimed at protecting water resources.

We align our insurance processes with the risks of water crises and drought.

3. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik A.Ş. commits not to support the following activities that could harm water resources:

Insurance of activities that lead to water pollution

Projects that could cause the depletion of groundwater resources

Industrial activities that harm marine and freshwater ecosystems

Businesses that operate in violation of international water management standards

    

4. IMPLEMENTATION AND MONITORING

We regularly measure and report our water consumption and efficiency performance.

We ensure continuous improvement by following best practices in water management.

  

5. SANCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

If activities that violate this policy are detected, Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik will review the relevant business processes and take necessary corrective actions.

We review our water consumption and water efficiency practices through internal audit mechanisms

  

6. ENFORCEMENT

This policy enters into force upon the approval of Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik A.Ş. Board of Directors. When necessary, the policy may be amended by the decision of the Board of Directors.
