Home Insurance
When considering risk, a lot of us associate it with dangers encountered beyond the home. What about the risks at home?
In our residence, there can be instances where we cannot take action, ranging from theft to flooding, from malfunctioning electronics to landslides.
However, there’s no reason for concern. With Home Package Insurance, it is quite simple to cover losses to your residence, your possessions, and even health issues you may experience.
When obtaining home insurance, the first priority should be the accuracy of the address details. The correct address and UAVT code must be used to provide accurate and complete information such as the cost of the building, the estimated cost of goods in the dwelling, etc. Information about the insured dwelling such as the age of the building, floor information, apartment square meter size must be accurate and complete. If there are exemptions in the policy, they should be examined in particular.

Your building value determines the maximum amount of compensation to be paid by the insurance company in the event of a possible damage to your building. To prevent victimization in the event of damage, it is essential to accurately declare the details of the house to establish its value.
The insurance value of your building is calculated by multiplying the gross surface area of your building by the price per unit square meter determined over the reconstruction construction cost; however, the land value of the building is not taken into account. Reconstruction costs are determined every year by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and announced after being updated according to the inflation rate of that year.
Overinsurance is a situation where a policy is issued with the sum insured as specified on the policy is higher than the insurable value. In this case the policy remains valid, but the part of the sum insured that surpasses the insurable value is invalid.
Underinsurance is, however, the situation where a policy is issued by determining an amount lower than the insurable value of the sum insured as specified on the policy. In case of damage, the insurer compensates based on the ratio of the insured amount to the insurable value.
DASK provides coverage for material damages caused directly by earthquakes and earthquake-induced fires, explosions and landslides to insured buildings up to the sum insured. It is a mandatory product. DASK covers only the damages to the building but not to the belongings. The home policy, conversely, protects the structure and its contents from risks such as earthquake, fire, theft, flooding, inundation, internal water damage, and other hazards listed in the policy; it is not a mandatory product.
