Human Rights and Employee Rights Policy

Within the framework of its sustainable insurance approach, Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik aims to create a business environment that respects human rights, to promote equality, diversity and inclusion, to eliminate gender-based discrimination, and to increase the consciousness and awareness level of all its stakeholders, especially employees.

The company aims to make a difference in working conditions and provide equal opportunities to employees within the framework of the principles of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the International Labor Organization (ILO), adopts the principles of the Labor Organization by creating mechanisms to be shaped in line with international standards.

Regarding human rights and employee rights, the Company controls the proper functioning of the mechanisms established within the Ethical Principles Policy, Equal Opportunity and Diversity Policy and Social Equality Policy and the practices related to the Human Resources Regulation, and carries out studies to adapt good practices to its structure.

The company takes utmost care to create a healthy work environment for its employees;

  • Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik personnel can submit all kinds of notifications and complaints through the Ethics Committee through a confidential complaint mechanism. The confidentiality of the complainant is protected, no action is taken against the person, the situation is seriously investigated and concluded as soon as possible, and necessary actions and administrative sanctions are implemented.
  • Company, discrimination, harassment, etc. If it detects the existence of ill-treatment, it is responsible for applying the necessary administrative sanctions against the responsible persons.
  • It does not finance the activities or projects of individuals and organizations that are found to employ child labor or violate human rights in areas that are prohibited or restricted by international agreements to which Türkiye is a party.
  • The right to unionize and collective bargaining is a constitutional right and not exhibit any attitude that violate this right.
  • Takes the necessary precautions within the framework of legal regulations regarding Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and informs the employees.
  • Employees are given training on subjects such as human rights, occupational health and safety, anti-bribery and corruption, ethical principles, gender equality in working life, prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, environmental management and zero waste, sustainability and first aid training.
  • Company employees are given training on professional/technical and personal development issues in order to improve their knowledge and skills and improve business processes.

The Human Rights and Employee Rights Policy entered into force with the approval of the Board of Directors dated 26.12.2023. The implementation of this policy and its revision in line with needs are under the responsibility of the Corporate Governance Committee and the Assistant General Manager responsible for Human Resources.
